The shooting day took place smoothly with minimal problems. However, there are still some obstacle during the production phase.
First of all, one of the member's parent (Mai Phuong's parent) did not allow Mai Phuong to go to a house of a boy without any girls there. So to solve the problem, we need to invite another friend who is also a girl to make sure that her parents agree to let her stay with us to record the film opening.
Secondly, if you see the time between the first shooting day and the second shooting day, it was a large difference. That was due to a problem with the school. The school media room did not allow us to bring the equipment of the media room to home for usage. We need to fight for our right because in the beginning of the year, the school promise that the media room of the school would help serve the needs of media studies students. After a week, the problem was finally solved and we could again borrowed the lights from the school.
Thirdly, due to the fact that we are newbie, we did not expect that setting up the background would take so many hours. In the planning, we met up at 2:00pm but because of setting up the background, only when the clock hit 3:00pm we were able to start filming. In addition, as a cinematographer, I forgot to turn off the camera when we did not used it, making the camera to go out of battery so quickly.
However, I am strongly believed that if the school allowed us to borrow the gimble, all of the camera movement would be a lot better as it would be less shaky.
When it come to the second shooting day, everything happens much smoother, following an orbit, make it a lot easier for me to direct the filming and the acting.
