LOCATION FOR SHOOTING

The location that we used to record our film opening is in my brother's room and a place in front of a popcorn shop called "Propercorn".

We choose my brother room is because it have a large window with spaces outside that we could put our key light out their to create an effect that similar to sunlight shining into the room. The only problem is that the window is too large, meaning that we need to find something to block out the light so that the room is as dark as we wanted. Those are the main reason why we choose my brother's bedroom. It was a challenge to ask him let us borrow his room because he is a very organized and tidy person, he don't like when another person lied on his bed and he didn't want us to make a mess in his room. However, after negotiating for a while with promising him to clean the room after we finish, he finally agree to let us film in his room.

Then we choose the area outside of the Propercorn store is because of its decoration. The store is decorated with the 2 main colors, red and white which fit the theme of our opening scene

Picture of the location

These 2 locations are really close to each other which make it easier for us to move between place to place during our shooting day. That's also one of the reason why we choose these 2 locations. Note that the picture you see is when the store first opened, in the present, we have gone there and observe. It was not really crowd at all with just some customers went in and out. However, the area that we are filming is really close to a gas station which can create difficulties while filming as people may walking around or walk into the screen. To solve this problem, we are planning to ask someone (one of our friend, parents) to help us during the shooting day. They could help by letting people know that we are filming and kindly ask them to walk another path when we are on set as well as warn the cinematographer when someone is behind him (me).
