Welcome to my blog!
My name is Nguyen Dinh Uy and I'm from Vietnam, studying at Nguyen Sieu School in 11th grade and taking Media Studies for my AS level. I usually treat myself to video games, fiction/fantasy books and ballad music in my free time.
I have been watching TV, reading newspapers, and using social media for a long time and I am interested in how these media tools work and how the media creators deliver their message to the audiences/viewers/readers. I am curious about the language of media, and the purpose of everything that I see on the media products.
This blog is a place for me to record my learning journey as I took part in the subject. It recorded step, milestone that I have gone during any media project, especially the film opening production.

There are several reasons why I choose this subject.

First of all, I am curious about how media products influence audiences' mind. I am curious about how have media producers use the mediated world as a tool for them to "control" or to lead audiences' mindset the way they want. This interest was started since I read an article about how have they use media during wartime. In the past, many writer in Vietnam have used their writing talent to create burden messages about calling every citizen to stand up and fight, do not give up. Furthermore, by the way the US was controlling the media, it make sure that no media products violate their system and those media products would help them on their way to conquer the country. I was blown away by the power of media and decide that I would like to learn deeper about this world.

Secondly, I have always wanted to improve my camera, filming skills. I have never confident in my skills with the camera, recorder. This subject would provide me with basic knowledge on how to take good photos, the basic knowledge about the composition of images, how to light an object correctly, in which direction should you take the picture from and especially, ESPECIALLY how to use they technique to create meaning!!!
