HOW SUCCESSFUL WAS THE POST PRODUCTION

In general, I am quite proud of my editing process: I was able to divide the process into different steps and phases, avoid being overwhelmed by the amount of work I needed to complete. By dividing works into different phase, it helped me keep track with the process and did not forget to edit any part of the video.

The great assembly with my group at the beginning really helped because usually I struggle with choosing footages (which shot is better) and I am struggling with which narrative structure to follow. By having feedback and constructive ideas and advices from other members, the editing process was much smoother.

By mixing the audio and treating visuals separately, it saved me a lot of time. Usually when I do both at once, I need to adjust the audio according to the video and then vice versa. Doing that costs a lot of time while if I finish with visual then do the audio, I will have the visual fixed and just needed to mix the audio base on the visual which save me time and create consistency throughout the movie.

However, I had a big mistake: I forgot to put the credit into the beginning or the end of the movie, even though we still have 15 seconds left before it reach the limit of 5 minutes. This is a big mistake as without the credit, there is no sign on the film to promote the studio and to create a better sense of branding. On the next occasion, I will create a checklist on all the things I needed to complete during the post production so that I will not forget any element. If I reupload a new version of the film with a credit, it will cost all the views, comments and interaction that I was having. Though in the end, I decided that the credit is crucial.
