[Pre - production] THE FIRST OBSTACLE

NOT ANY ROADS ARE SMOOTH...

After many thoughtful meetings and discussions, we concluded that the script had a problem: the script was too complex and too long for a 5-minute movie.

To be specific, the story about "The Graveyard" was a mind game for a student council election. As a consequence, it was too complex and required more than 5 minutes for all the details. Furthermore, as a scriptwriter, I am not good enough to write a mind game script (when we carefully analyze the script, the logic is not clear and logical). This makes me need to write a new script.

To be specific, we could not find a way for a character to fall into a trap without knowing it (we did not know how to design the trap to make it not obvious and make the whole story go logically). A mind game that is not "mind" enough will be a big joke.

This creates the requirement for a new script; it needs to be less complex and more straightforward, making it an easier job for the film production phase.
