Note: I was not able to update anything throughout the week because this week is the end of term exam week in my school so I needed to focus more on reviewing for those subject
After not touching the project for a while, the first thing I do is to watch the whole project and read the script again to reload of what is going on with the project. I read through the blogs also, thanks to my constantly update on my editing process, I was able to know where I need to start now: the sound!
This is where I found my purchase of Motion Array was a great decision: there are thousands of music and sound effects available on Motion Array that I have access to. Previously when I did not have Motion Array, it took me a while to find those music/sound effects that are copyright free. With the help of Motion Array, my music finding journey become a much more enjoyable experience compare to previous projects.
With that being said, it still took me the whole night (about 3 hours) to find all suitable music and sound effects to mix into the video's audio. Things started to look good when sound came in: there were some scenes that music is very important as it build up the atmosphere and the mood for the scenes. After putting the audio/sound into its positions, I need to mix the audio also. Within this stage, beside the tools available in the editing software, I also use extension to enhance the audio: adobe podcast. It helps the dialogue sound better with clear voice of each actor. Audio and sound also need to have transition, sound need to get louder, smaller at particular places to make the video go smoother. I even need to distort the music in the last part of the video where the climax take place.
Doing this took longer than I expected, I will continue this task tomorrow!
