The shooting day number 04 on 07/03/2024 was quite successful, everything went smoothly without any problem.
Some noticeable things that took place during the day was that we found out that there was a discontinuity in our footage, required us to shot some extra shots to make the flow smoother and more logical (which extend the expected ending time a bit). Another problem was that the place that we planned to film was a bit crowder than we was expected it too be. This is because we forgot to consider the fact that at that time of the day, people coming back from work and will park a lot of motorcycle at that area. However, after patiently waiting, the parking area was starting to get less crowd with fewer motorcycles, enabling us to complete our shooting day.
However, the real problem occur after we complete the shooting and everyone went back to their home. While we was filming, we forgot to adjust the ISO of the camera, making the footage looks very grainy because of overwhelmed ISO (the footage when we watched it on the camera's screen was much better than what we saw when exported it to computer's screen.) In addition, we receive a bad news that our actor have taken up more extra class to prepare for the graduation test which mean that it is unlikely that we can carried out another shooting day. This left me, as an editor, to fix this as much as I can during the post production phase. Stay tuned to see how I'm gonna "cook" those footage in the editing phase.
That being said, I learned my lesson to plan the location recce more carefully as well as check the setting of all the filming equipment/tools before start filming. I also learned that it may be a wise decision to export the footage to our phone (via the Wifi) to see the footage because the camera's live screen is not reliable.
